Meet Asaad Alnajjar

I am a Civil Structural Professional Engineer who has been working for the City of Los Angeles for over 30 years and a 37 year resident of Los Angeles. A member of the Porter Ranch neighborhood since 2003, I am currently proudly serving on the Board of the Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council since 2017 as Chair of the Safety and Transit Committee, and have met many of you in that capacity.  In my position as a Civil Structural Professional Engineer, I have been involved with creating successful, award-winning large scale engineering projects for the City of Los Angeles such as, Transit System, Automated Traffic, LAX Upgrades, I-405 Widening, Tunnel Lighting, Pole Painting, Sidewalk Repairs, Solar Street Lights and Grid feed and many more.

Helping others matters. Everyone deserves to feel respect, to feel welcome, and to have a chance to succeed. That’s something my hard-working family instilled in me at early age, and I carried through my 30 years of service at the City of Los Angeles Public Works, and something I carry with me in all aspects of my life. As a 30 years public servant, as an Engineer, as an entrepreneur, and as your neighbor, I am proud of what we’ve built together, and want to take that spirit to work for you as your next District 12 City Council Member.

Across Council District 12, which includes: Chatsworth, Porter Ranch, Granada Hills, Northridge, North Hills, Reseda, West Hills and Sherwood Forest, there is a great deal of diversity. But we all care about the same things: Opportunity, Public Schools, Great Public transit and Safety. As a solid supporter of the Devonshire police and fire departments, I maintain relationships with members of both and will commit to supporting the needs of the police and fire departments and pledging that the voices of LADP, Devonshire Area and LAFD will be heard. By doing so, CD12 will remain a strong and safe community.

This election season, we have a choice to decide who will represent us on the Los Angeles City Council, a choice that will impact all of our lives. This March, we’ll decide together what kind of representation we want in City Hall.  I will work hard for you and all of us who pursue a safe life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Vote for me, Asaad Alnajjar in the primary on March 3rd.
